Troopers received a complaint on Oct. 15, 2017 of a fraudulent line of credit opened in the victim’s name. Continued investigation determined Susan Odell of Poughkeepsie opened multiple lines of credit and monetary loans in the name of the victim which she used to purchase goods, police said.
Odell was charged with identity theft in the first degree, a Class D felony, and ID theft in the second degree, a Class E felony.
She was arraigned before the Town of Wappinger Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $3,000 bond. Odell is next scheduled to appear before the court on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
